TV5 Užice
TV5 Užice ((セルビア語:ΤВ5 Ужице)) is a Serbian television network aired locally to the city of Užice in Western Serbia. It is privately owned and the most watched local network in Užice.
==History==
TV5 first aired in July 1994. At the time, the Yugoslavia civil war was ranging. The then minister of information and media Aleksandar Vučić made it his goal to shut down all free networks opposed to the political regime in the country at the time. TV5 Užice as a network did not fall in line with Vučić and barely survived in the 1990s with all funding cut and heavy transmission interference. With a democratic change in government, the end of war and oppression against Serbia, the network was able to grow again.
Today TV5 has around 320,000 potential viewers. The most watched programmes are news and current affairs.
